This webinar focuses on strategies to reach and serve special and vulnerable populations using telehealth. Special and vulnerable populations include Migratory, Seasonal, and Agricultural Workers (MSAW), Older Adults, people experiencing homelessness, people with limited english proficiency, and rural communities with limited access to broadband. We discuss building the awareness, knowledge, and ability of both patients and health center staff to successfully use telehealth to meet the needs of these important groups. Wealso share how telehealth promotes health equity and increases overall access to quality healthcare for special and vulnerable populations.

Community health centers have an important role in ending the HIV epidemic. In alignment with that important role, several UDS measures related to HIV screening, treatment, and prevention have been added for CY2020 UDS reporting.
 

To support Primary Care HIV Prevention funded health centers, HITEQ has prepared a crosswalk that maps PCHP tri-annual reporting metrics to UDS measures and/ or fields. This assists health centers in leveraging UDS reporting functionality in their EHRs to inform completion of the tri-annual progress report to HRSA.

The purpose of this guide is to help CHC leaders weigh the costs and benefits of remaining with their current EHR system (possibly with enhanced functionality) or switching to a different one. It is intended to be useful to all those participating in decisions about EHR systems, not just to technical experts. The guide offers a step-wise approach to asking important questions, making decisions, and moving forward. The appendices describe the types of products and services that are available to CHCs and that are mentioned throughout the guide.

For many, telehealth has removed barriers and ensured that people receive care when and where it is most convenient. However, while telehealth can remove obstacles, if not used deliberately and thoughtfully, it can exacerbate many inequalities that exist in the United States. One factor that is essential to account for is language accessibility, which, if not provided, limits the number of patients who are able to utilize telehealth services.
