El Rio uses complex data analytics provided by United and other payers to help manage existing patients and to stratify new patients by their risk levels and intervene to direct patients to appropriate services in a timely manner and ultimately enhance the patient experience. United Health Care also incentives quality care at El Rio using Health Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and utilization measures such as Emergency Room visits and hospital readmissions.
