Resource Overview

Health Centers are made up of many different levels of IT Security & Privacy expertise, both in terms of staff skills and organizational maturity. Resources are needed that help guide both beginners and more advanced staff and leadership to understanding how to best manage security and privacy risk management at their health center.

The overall objective is to create a privacy & security workbook tailored specifically to Health Centers that will provide them with implementable strategies for increasing their risk management skills including sections focused on:

  • Assessment of Security Risk 
  • Security Risk Mitigation
  • Ongoing Security Risk Management

Session 1: Strategic Investments in Cybersecurity for Health Centers in 2021 and Beyond

This two-session roundtable series brought together CIOs, CISOs, and other IT leadership from health centers to discuss strategic investments in cybersecurity, including those that can leverage recent ARP funding but sustain beyond the coming years. Participants had the opportunity to connect with each other and subject matter experts about implementation, considerations, and the future of cybersecurity and data protection in health centers.
