Resource Overview

The process of finding and hiring the best-qualified candidate for a Quality and/or Health IT job in your health center is time-intensive and challenging. Having job vacancies or recruiting the wrong person can cost the organization in terms of real money, time spent, morale, and productivity. Successful hiring requires refining the recruitment process, which includes analyzing the requirements of a job, attracting employees to that job, screening and selecting applicants, and hiring the new employee to the organization.

This section includes resources to help you define and refine your recruiting methods.  These are tools that have been tested by health centers in the field and are proven to work. These resources reflect the combined experience of several successful health centers around the country.

Also available are templates for Health IT Job Functions and samples of Health IT Job Descriptions.

Free CME Training with Three Tracks

Healthcare Data Analytics, Population Health, and Value-based Care

The three certificate trainings available include multiple courses that will prepare staff to transition to value-based care.  This training will help you and your organization understand healthcare transformation in a practical, usable way - why it’s important; how it will impact job roles, workflows, care delivery, and the financial considerations of healthcare.  Trainings will enhance skill sets to enable you or your staff to work more efficiently, knowledgeably and hopefully, with less stress. Topics cover introductory and advanced levels – allowing you to choose how in-depth you would like to go into a topic or knowledge set.

The training will enable you to build teams in your organization.  By learning critical topics like data analytics, value-based care and population health concepts, workers will be more apt to appreciate and participate in changing activities and thrive due to healthcare reform, using technology more effectively and accurately, increasing care coordination, redesigning workflows, and more.

Enrollment is open and courses are running through June 2017. The amount of training seats is limited. The courses will be offered until those seats are filled.  The training is free, but to receive CME a $45 fee is required.
